Function / Content

This series consists of black and white aerial photographs from a range of sources including RAAF Central Photographic Establishment, and Commonwealth Division of National Mapping. The majority of the photographs were created for defence purposes and have been numbered using the national mapping codes (consignment P1). The series includes images from the Welfare Branch. The series was collected by the National Library of Australia and transferred to the Northern Territory Librray in 2004 following a digitisation program.. In 2021 the series was transferred to the NTG Archives Collection held at Library & Archives NT.

Alphanumeric (where possible). The last box of consignment P1 contains larger format images and are out of the main order for the consignment.
